Memory Test
Train short-term memory. Watch the sequence, then recall it. Each level adds more to remember.
Level 1 — 3 digits
Memorize the number before it disappears.
About memory testing
What is digit span?
Digit span is a classic measure of short-term memory: how many items you can hold in mind at once. Research since George Miller's famous 1956 paper suggests most adults can hold about 7 ± 2 chunks — which is exactly where these levels start getting hard.
How can I remember more?
Use chunking: group digits into pairs or triplets (583-729 instead of 5-8-3-7-2-9), or attach words and images to items. Both modes here get progressively harder, so your best level is a clean benchmark to track over time.
What do the scores mean?
Your level is the hardest sequence you recalled correctly. Number Memory level 6 (8 digits) already exceeds the typical adult digit span — anything beyond that is strong working memory.
